Riverside Music School: Ottawa’s best music school still has spots open for students

Savoy Society:  The Ottawa Savoy Society is a volunteer-run community musical theater organization founded in 1975 with the mission of performing the celebrated comic operas of Gilbert and Sullivan. Over the last 44 years, the Savoy Society has opened the curtain on more than 250 performances and played to over 150,000 people. Savoy is entirely run by a cast of dedicated volunteers who do everything from singing in the shows to balancing its books. As a registered charity rooted in community, Savoy maintains a strong tradition of service and has raised over $100,000 for local charities, supporting the annual Kiwanis Music Festival with a bursary and giving the gift of music to those who cannot afford it, through benefit performances and ticket giveaways. Savoy enjoys a solid reputation in the musical community and prides itself on creating a warm and supportive environment for individuals to engage in artistic expression in a warm and supportive environment.
