WHAT IS BLUE GREEN LIFESTYLE?
We are putting together a community of of health and wellness professionals with the same goals.
Discovering and sharing all lifestyle changes needed to live a healthy life past the age of 100.
Mankind has always searched for the proverbial ‘fountain of youth’, but science today has discovered that its not just genes. It’s a combination of many things.
I’m sure you may have heard of the Blue Zones?
There are five recognized regions in the world, often called Blue Zones, where people live the longest and healthiest lives. Suggested blue zones include Okinawa Prefecture in Japan, Nuoro Province in Sardinia, Italy, the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica, and Icaria, Greece.
The question is if these environments can be reproduced where we live. We believe it can, and with our new Blue Green Lifestyle community of 50 great minds and researchers, the goal is to put together a road map and lifestyle to make this a possibility globally.
As I write this, I am in rehab for a broken hip. I was lying on a stretcher in a bright, cold, noisy emergency hospital hallway for 3 days and nights before I could get the needed surgery. I had never experienced anything like this, and I never want anyone to go through this. But this experience reminded me how fragile we are, and precious our health is. I never want to see the inside of a hospital again. I have always known about the importance of ‘preventive maintenance’. We don’t wait for our car engine to seize before getting an oil change.
The goal is to go beyond the 9 basic principles of the Blue Zones—known as the Power 9. The shared lifestyle habits and environmental factors found among the world’s longest-living people.
- Move Naturally: Stay active without thinking about it by walking, gardening, and doing manual chores instead of using mechanical aids.
- Purpose: Have a clear reason for waking up each morning, which adds years of focused motivation to life.
- Downshift: Practice daily routines—like prayer, naps, or gatherings—to shed stress and reduce chronic inflammation.
- 80% Rule:
Stop eating when you feel 80% full to prevent overeating and support a healthy weight.
- Plant Slant: Eat a diet centered around beans, lentils, whole grains, and vegetables, with meat eaten only rarely.
- Wine @ 5: Drink alcohol moderately and regularly (usually one to two glasses a day) with friends or food.

- Belong: Participate in a faith-based or spiritual community on a regular basis.
- Loved Ones First: Keep aging family members nearby, commit to a life partner, and invest love and time in children.
- Right Tribe: Choose and maintain social circles that support healthy habits and positive behaviors.

Health is Wealth
Without health money means nothing. There is a cost to living a long and healthy life. You will need to change many things in your home. You will need to throw out anything with sugar. You will need to invest time. And you will need the proper tools to live toxic free. Such as a quality air purifier, a water purifier and cookware that does not release metal toxins.
You don’t need to move to a Blue Zone country. We just need to change our environment, diet and lifestyle.
Join our Blue Green Lifestyle community and change the way you live, think and feel. Or just wait until your engine craps out and you find yourself in a hospital suffering.
